Beginning September 7th, 2025
Dear St. Andrew’s Families,
Beginning in September, all families will gather together at 10:00 AM worship in the main church.
After a brief time in worship, the children will be joyfully dismissed to the rear classrooms within the church building for a 30-minute, age-appropriate lesson. They will then rejoin their families in time for Holy Communion.
This new format brings many blessings:
• Children will still hear meaningful Bible stories—but now in a context that reinforces their connection to the worshipping community.
• The entire family worships together in church
• Children will have opportunities to sing, collect food donations, bring forward the gifts, and build relationships across generations.
• A special “Prayground” space will be created in the church for toddlers to experience worship with their families in a comfortable, engaging environment.
We know every change takes time to adjust, and we thank you in advance for your openness and grace during this transition. We are confident that the long-term rewards will far outweigh any temporary challenges.
If you would like to be part of a planning team helping prepare for these exciting changes, we invite you to reach out to Pastor Jean directly at 631-332-6026. We would love your input and help!
With joy and hope,
Rev. Jean Dougherty, Pastor, St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church
